    Default T&H preshave?

I've used two preshaves sofar. They were both oil based.I liked how both of them worked, except for one thing: Oilbased preshaves seems to seriously mess up the lather!
This to my experience especially goes for the CF creams(wich I love), but in general more for creams then soaps, for some reason. The lather actually dries out much quicker, and becomes less shave friendly.I noticed an amazing difference in my lather today while shaving, I didn't use preshave.
Luckely I'm getting the CF preshave in the mail anyday now, and it isn't oilbased.
Anyways, to the subject.I really like trying alot of different soaps and creams. And next up is T&H.
Have any of you have similar problems while using the T&H shave cream and pre shave together?
I really enjoy using a preshave, but if the T&H also mess up the cream, I think I will drop it....

T&H preshave oil is very light. It doesn't affect the cream as far as I can tell. I use it daily.

I have the T&H pre-shave oil as well. But, to be honest, I found that it really wasn't doing anything after a proper face prep. So I stopped using it.

I really like the T&H Pre-shave. I believe most people use too much. The sellers reccomend a couple of drops. Thats what I use and it helps pushing the hairs up for shaving when you rub it in.
My 2 cents. Most don't use the pre-shave.

You are right on the money. There is a reason it or any other pre shave oil comes in a little jar. You use a tiny bit then you do the work massaging it in. If used right it will not effect your lather in anyway. Pre Shaves and I use one everyday are designed to help your skin not give you a closer shave. They help protect the outer layers of your skin to limit the damage shaving does to it. You can get the closest shave shaving with a Mach multi with no cream. But that will not make your face feel that smooth BBS. What gives you the BBS is how you prep and finish. Same with razors the Multi gives you the closet shave but does not feel as good as a DE or Straight because it destroys your skin. A DE or Straight and proper skin care is what gives you that BBS feel or sticky smooth has Lynn descibes it.

I use a homemade PSO that's pretty much equal parts Extra virgin olive oil, castor oil, and glycerin. It doesn't mess with the lather and is rather inexpensive. I tried that recipe after reading around a bit on making PSO and the oil cleansing method.

After using it for a couple of months I made some for a couple of friends, who both give it the thumbs up so far.

*just to note, I use a mug for lathering. I have not tried the recipe with face lathering.*

I find it too light, the AOS oil is a bit better and much more moisturizing. My next idea is to try a mix of lavender EO, Olive oil and castor oil and see how it works...
