Yes. It's just as good as Tabac lather wise and I prefer the scent. Having said that, I don't dislike the scent of Tabac. Both are very good soaps IMO.

Alan, how would you describe the Irish Moos, compared to Tabac?
It's quite interesting to see that your disliking of the scent (especially with you being such a soap-o-phile ;)) is going strong. Guess it's a love/hate thing. I was not to enthusiastic when I opened it up, but I'm a convert. :D
Hillie I think I just got spoiled with the designer soap scents.
I've shaved with Tabac about four times now and every lather is consistent with the last, which = great shave. You won't be disappointed my friend, unless you end up hating the smell like some of the gentlemen above :)
It still surprises me how divided people are about this soap, but hey, that's life!
Jordan, I think Mike meant his handmade stuff. He's a big fan of The Gentlemen Quarter soaps, which are all handmade. I don't think he was referring to any of the dolcarmaversatiers and related design brands that lend their name to soaps and perfumes.
Like yourself I got quite spoilt by all the fine soaps available, but for me Tabac's still a good scent. :D I got the DR Harris Marlborough splash AS, because I also enjoyed the soap a lot. Very different from other soaps. Smells 'smoky' to me.
Havent tried Tabac yet. Don't think I have any yet to be honest. What I do have is a large number waiting their turn to be tried. My wife seems to really like the smell of Wool Fat and since it has a fairly nice aroma, good lather, and seems to keep things well "oiled" longer than a few others I've tried, I'll stick with Wolly for a bit longer. Next in line are a few tubs of shave cream. Trumper will be first.
Jorden like Hilli said Its the TGQ soaps I got spoiled on, I have to say though I do love the smell of MWF.
Let me ask a totally uninformed question: Who makes this wool fat stuff and where can one get it?
