    Default The Smell of Tabac...

Well, I have to admit that a few members here had me more than nervous about the apparent "distinctive" smell of Tabac, especially as I had some coming my way via mail. Once it arrived I held the trademark ceramic jar to my face and slowly took the lid off for my first whiff and....... it actually smells quite nice! I know that it seems to be a love it or leave it scent, but IMHO there is nothing offensive about it to my nose. For the uninitiated I would say it is reminisient of , I don't know, maybe Old Spice/English Leather with a bit of a "soapy" note in there as well. Definitely what you would call old-school I suppose, which is okay as I'm down with old school. Now excuse me, as I have to have a straight shave now and try it out.....

It just reminds me of soap and doesnt linger around long enough to be a problem if you dont like it, IMHO.

Tabac is my go to soap and what I use for comparison when trying something new.

    Default Tabac

Love it, as was mentioned in the previous post, it is what all others are measured against. In keeping with the M&W family, have you guys tried Irisch Moos?

It took a couple of days of shaving with it to get used to the scent, now I am quite fond of it. I gave it to my friend last week whom I've converted to brush and creams/soaps (refuses to go DE much less str8) but only because I plan to purchase it in its glass bowl.

Just finished my shave a short while ago and I have to say Tabac is amazing! It's probably cliche to say that around here, but it is simply one of the finest performers this wet shaver has ever tried. VERY easy to lather, long lasting, very smooth glide and a scent, like I said above, that I'm very partial to. I'm impressed.

The smell of that stuff makes me want to puke, I just started going to a new barber shop and as I was getting my hair cut I could swear I smell Tabac, Im not sure if the barber was wearing Tabac cologne or what, but I couldnt wait to get out of there.

I loves my Tabac scent. To me it is kind of leathery with a bit of soap. Reminds me of the 70s

Hey Ryan, I have the soap, and the Tabac cream in a tube. Smells the same, I like it. And as someone else already said, you either like it, or you don't. No inbetween. It's a great soap. A keeper for sure, Aay....
