Thread: is this shaving heresy?

I have my own way of going about things, sometimes people think I'm nuts. I just had a great DE shave with this:

It has a nice depression for lathering up. Smells really great, too.

It was at Dollar Tree- shoot me, I'm cheap! I'm buying it all tomorrow!

If it works for you why would you care what anyone else thinks? I own one of those sought after shaving creams that costs a bundle. Personally, it isn't nearly as good as a soap that costs less than a third of the cream.

Go for it. One of the best soaps I've ever tried was made by crazy some guy in California who DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE ME FOR IT! What a nut! And what soap!

I in fact care very little for what anyone thinks- hey I drive a French Car and live in the most conservative city in Texas- Abilene. Not a popular choice at all. Everyone at work thinks I'm nuts, to rely on a 24 year old French car and an Italian motorcycle to get to work. I have an old Honda Cub as my secret weapon, though.

Trivia Alert:
Pear's Soap is the WORLD'S first registered brand, and dates back to 1789, London. It's made in India now though, probably why it's such a steal.

There are a couple different bars showing up on the site, which did you use? I think I might try that, could be interesting.

The main reason to use soap is it lubricates the face. back in the day using plain old hand soap was common. Many also used plain water. It works as long as you keep your face wet all the time. So, whatever you use if it works for you its proper.

We're just a bunch of spoiled dudes.
