I will skip it then, glad to save the six bucks.
I used Burt's Bees bay rum soap this morning for the first time, spurred on by seeing this thread.
It was fine. In fact, I'd say it was pretty good. Face lather was easy, soap was slick, it didn't last long on my face, but long enough for each pass. I give it at least one thumb up. And I had a great shave
y'all are too picky! ;)
Well, I guess there is variance in everything. I tried it with boar, badger, tap water, filtered water, with glycerine, build in the bowl, build on the face, etc. The only decent lather I could get was by adding a few drops of glycerine and some KMF (actually the kmf was probably more than the burts bees). The lather always disappeared in no time. But with TGQ bay rum, it's lather and go no matter what combination I try. That's been my experience anyhow. I actually got better lather out of the soap that came with a zeepk kit that some well intentioned, yet tragically uninformed family member got me as a gift. I'm with dwessell, worst stuff I've tried yet.
