I have not had the problems some folks have had in getting MWF to lather. I live in central Arkansas, and we have really great water, very soft. It wasn't until this morning that I got a really great lather though. I have decided that face lathering is the best way to go for MFW as well as several other soaps I have. I decided to add water very sparingly until I thought it was right. At a certain point the lather almost exploded and felt very creamy. The aroma was very noticable as well. In prior uses, it just seemed like a soapy smell. This morning it was very noticable. I can't really describe it well, but it was still subtle. This was my best shave with MWF with an Arco blade in an EJ DE razor. I have been back to DE razors after about a 35 year use of various cartridge razors. It has been only about 2 months, but I have learned a lot about shaving in that time than the past 45 years. So far, from the various soaps I have tried, I like the MWF the best. I have tried several non tallow soaps, but mostly prefer tallow.
