I have had a good experience with the Cade soap as well - it lasted me a VERY long time and held up well in the crummy water aboard a Navy ship. Lathered up very well and left my face feeling great!
Which AS are you guys talking about, the L'Occitane scent or the Cade scent?
I found the Cade scented AS a little too much for me... but the L'Occitane balm really hit the spot.
I also use L'Occitane Cade balm (Levanter) on daily basis.
It is really a quality product.
This thread is very timely (and convenient).....
For our Canadian/Albertan members:
I was just at West Edmonton Mall the other day, and right beside the water park is an actual L'Occitane en Provence store. A local source for shaving products!!
It wasn't open as I was there after-hours, but next time I'm at "The Mall" I'll check it out.
FWIW, I've been using the regular L'Occtaine products, not Cade....
I've been intrigued by the Cade and L'Occitane products for some time. They were difficult to obtain in my neck of the woods, however.
I just discovered this weekend, though, that there is a L'Occitane boutique in one of the local shopping malls. Their products--shave cream, balm, edt---are definitely on my future shopping list.
for christmas my little brother got me two tubes of the cade cream, havent \tried them yet as i dont have to go back to work until tomorrow, but i will be using it tonight for sure

After all of the gushing about these products on here, I caved and picked up the Soap, Cream and ASB today. I'll give them a go tomorrow morning...
BTW - If anyone is considering the Cade Soap Bowl, it is on sale now! I got it for $19...
I got the Cade soap for Christmas, and am having a hard time with the lather. it dries quickly.
any advice for the perfect Cade lather?
Thanks
I hated this soap the first few times i tried it. The lather was thin and airy, like I wasn't getting enough soap on the brush. I started experimenting and took a knife and scraped some very thin shavings from the top of the soap. Then I soaked it with hot water for a couple of minutes, then lathered in the bowl. I now get loads of cushiony, slick lather. Now i actuallly like this soap and the way it performs.
