    Default L'Occitane Cade users?

I do not see this soap getting that much play around here and I was wondering why? I picked up a puck of this along with the really cool stainless steel bowl it comes with at my local L'Occitane boutique store. Presentation wise, there is no cooler soap dish on the market.

I have used it three times already and I think it has already taken a spot in my top three and might even dethrone Tabac as my favorite soap!

The fragrance of this soap is definitely the best I have smelled. It is very easy to lather and seems to like a lot of water. While not as slick as MWF or Tabac, the lather does not dry at all on my face....great sustainability. Probably the best I have used in that regard. I also notice that it provides great moisture to the skin and this has become very important to me during the Winter as my skin gets dry.

Overall, I am very impressed with this soap so far and wanted to see if others had any opinion or observations on it?

I was in an airport L'Occitane shop, loved the smell of the Cade, and thought I'd try some - that is until I saw the price. I assumed it was because it was in an airport boutique. I checked the price online and saw it was the same.

I asked about it in chat one day and a few guys said they'd used it and like you say it's great.

I guess I'll have to break down some day and buy some.

I'm a huge fan of the Cade. It's the exception my tallow only rule, and for good reason. My face feels well cared for after using it.

The soap refills can be had for $10.00. For the quality of this soap, that is very cheap compared to the cost of other soap refills.

It is the metal soap dish that runs the price up.

I love Cade .. for those that think it is too costly my recommendation is to by the refill puck for 10 bucks. The stainless bowl is nice but definitely pricey.

The scent is heavenly to me the Cade oil and Juniper berry come out a lot for me. It also lathers great for the water I have ( had problems with other soaps ).

My bad, I didn't pay close enough attention to your post Fbones - I looked at the shave cream, not the puck. I'm a uberlatherer. I guess I can just skip the Cade cream use my T&H unscented ultimate shave cream w/ Cade soap.

$10 for soap is not expensive in my book - I use the C& E soaps. They are $8 for the refills.

To me it smells like the desert. Juniper up in the higher elevations. Very herbal/floral. Sorry I can't be more descriptive.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it is a Palm Oil based soap. I do not have it in front of me, so I can't look at the ingredients.

The scent to me is slightly floral with a little sweetness and spiciness. I mostly get the Juniper and Sandalwood that are described on their website here:

    Shaving Soap | Shop L'Occitane Men's Shaving

It is a very light, clean scent.
