My bad, I didn't pay close enough attention to your post Fbones - I looked at the shave cream, not the puck. I'm a uberlatherer. I guess I can just skip the Cade cream use my T&H unscented ultimate shave cream w/ Cade soap.

$10 for soap is not expensive in my book - I use the C& E soaps. They are $8 for the refills.

To me it smells like the desert. Juniper up in the higher elevations. Very herbal/floral. Sorry I can't be more descriptive.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it is a Palm Oil based soap. I do not have it in front of me, so I can't look at the ingredients.

The scent to me is slightly floral with a little sweetness and spiciness. I mostly get the Juniper and Sandalwood that are described on their website here:

    Shaving Soap | Shop L'Occitane Men's Shaving

It is a very light, clean scent.

Count me as one who actually really dislikes Cade. It is too finicky for me to lather for whatever reason and I can never get a consistent great lather from it.

Out of all the French Soaps I'll take MdC or Institute Karite any day over the likes of Cade, PdP, or PS.
