If you can be bothered try buying some distilled water. You can get it at the hardware store or the supermarket (in australia at least), that will rule out hard water.

Keep practising until you get it perfect....i cant stress this enough to people having problems with there lathers...it is by far one of the most important parts to a great shave....without good lather the whole process is doomed :) good luck
That's an interesting problem. We don't hear many complaints about creams, it's usually regarding hard soaps. IME I can get great lather from even cheap creams; it's not as good as the top shelf products, but still respectable.
I would also suspect either a bunk batch or a bad reaction to your water supply - maybe both?
Thanks for chipping in gents. I have since stopped using that tube after giving up on it and moved on to others that lather well. I also agree it must have been a bad batch. I can only imagine how bad it would have been trying to scuttle lather it rather than room temp. It would have been gone in a flash.
It could be a water hardness thing. I have a water softner, and I have no trouble with TOBS. I used it the other day, It was great. I really like the fragrance of the avacado.
It has a very fresh aroma....
