Ice Cream Maker for making Hot Lather - Anyone Tried
I was eating a bowl of ice-cream and I noticed that the consistency of the melted cream at the bottom of my bowl was similar to the lather I whip up with a brush when shaving. I then remembered that ice-cream gets made in a similar way, by having air bubbles forced into it with the churn.
I got the rather amusing idea of using an ice-cream machine or something similar but scaled down (with hot water traded out for the ice bath) and churning a bit of TOBS instead, to see how much said smidgen would grow. You know how all of the English creams claim to be able to produce "mounds of lather?" I'm curious just how many mounds.
Has anyone tried anything like this? Maybe I'll do this sometime and post the results if I get board.
