Thread: Disaster!

The Equipment:

• 1960 Gillette F2 Fatboy
• Edge Unscented Shaving Gel
• Many cold water rinses and Alum Block
• Stetson Original AS, ASB, Deodorant, & Cologne

The Shave:
Today, I was in a real hurry, so I decided to forego whipping up some Bigelow lather and just used some Edge Shaving Gel and a DE. WOW! What a mistake! The Edge lather looked good but had no moisture and no glide. My Fatboy felt like I was dragging the edge of a broken beer bottle across my face. This was absolutely the worst shave in my life. I didn't realize how much difference a good shaving cream could make. I will never make that mistake again. My face feels and looks like raw hamburger. Not even the cold water, the alum block, or the shaving balm cooled off my face. I achieved a 90% shaving burn!

Up to now, my Fatboy has never failed to give me less than a superlative shave. But the fault was not with the razor. I can't believe I used the canned goo for so long. It is terrible!
