I enjoy my Creams. I swirl the brush in the cream and lather on my face. As mentioned above it is easy to
overload. My brush has been been squeezed a bit dry before I hit the cream.

What I do is scoop out a small amount (halfway between a pea and an almond) and smear it across the bottom of my lather bowl. Then I put a couple teaspoons of hot water on top and let it soften while I shower. I then swirl my brush on top of the cream/water to build my lather, adding more water if necessary. Alternately, you could also dump the water out before swirling on top of the cream, then slowly hydrating the lather with the soapy water. Works a charm. Just remember that CF is a water hog, so don't be afraid to add a bit more so your lather doesn't end up too thick.

What does a snurdle look like? A little spoon?

Chalk me to the same group as Bob, Obie & Birnando. My CF is a bit dehydrated too, so it basically treat it as a soap - works great. I do the same with the other cream that I use Coates, which is also dehydrated (yeah I know).

The way I do it, is I set my bowl in the sink, and let hot water run into it, and put my brush in the bowl. The reason for this is two fold. So my brush gets moistened, and my bowl gets warmed. Then I empty the bowl, shake once or twice my brush over the bowl, to remove the majority of the water, and to put some into the bowl, then i swirl the brush in the CF and whip it up. This method always works cleanly and smoothly. The amount of water that comes out of the brush is usually ideal, and the cream whips up nicely.

I keep it simple and load my brush from the tub then face lather. Castle Forbes is really sensational, the Lime is just about the best there is.

I load my almost dry brush directly in the CF Lime and CF Lavender tub.

If still too hard, dap a couple of drops of water on your finger, swirl the finger on top of the cream surface and VOILA!

I do this with all my harder ShaveCreams like Castle Forbes, Acqua Di Parma, Santa Maria Novella, Fitjar, DR HARRIS & Acca Kappa 1869 Tub.

Works like a charm
