I just snagged up this trio for under €5.00, and am looking forward to giving them a go. It's nice to find sme of this stuff locally, and not have to rely on internet shopping only.

Wow! you can get that locally. I did find Palmolive for $2.99 at my local CVS but the last time I wanted DE blades I had to search through 5 stores before finding them at a privately owned pharmacy.
I have bought from that seller as well. Good deal there. Funny thing was I was in CVS just the day before and they had a tube for $1.99. I passed. Thought it wasn't too spectacular a scent and I already have over 20 soaps and creams so I figured I was keeping myself in check. Then I found that seller and I thought the deal was too good to pass up. Now I have 6 tubes left but one is down about 1/4th so I am working on it! I would offer a couple tubes up but the shipping would instantly make it cost prohibitive.
Slightly off topic to this thread - I got that razor in the photo from my local Boots store. Not a bad DE, but you could do better (and get a much closer shave) with a Dovo DE, i.e. a metal one.
As for Palmolive, my dad swears by it and wouldn't change it for the world! I personally find that it dries my skin out a little too much, although I've not used it recently.
There used to be a Palmolive shaving cream for sensitive skins as well. This was unperfumed and smelled like lanolin. Haven't seen it lately. Was very nice!
Nivea shave cream is also very popular in mainland Europe. Hard to get in the UK, but I still prefer Trumpers creams. I also have one of their soaps lying around unused which I shall be trying as soon as my cream runs out (it goes for ever!).
Used Palmolive for my shave this morning. I used a little more than usual and the lather came out a LOT better this time....that was a new thing for me. There wasn't just more of it. It was a higher/thicker quality.
Still learning to use the creams I guess.
