Default Which New One To Use Today?

So, I finally received my stick of Arko in the mail yesterday. I'm seriously intrigued by it, since I know several folks who recommend it highly.

However, I had to go to the mall today to pick up a string of pearls that SWMBO had restrung, and while there I couldn't resist picking up a tube of C.O. Bigelow/Proraso from Bath and Body works. I'm also very intrigued by this one as well, just given the reputation of Proraso.

So, I'll be shaving this evening or tomorrow morning (depends on what plans SWMBO has for tonight), and I figured, just for kicks, why not put it up for a vote?

So, which should I use, folks, the Arko or the C.O. Bigelow/Proraso?

Never used Arko myself, but I have Proraso in both the tube and bowl. Both are excellent.

    Thanks for the votes, fellas.

    Everyone else... KEEP 'EM COMING!!

I'm actually excited for another reason as well... The arko also came with an alum block, which I've been wanting to try as well. I may skip it on this shave, though. I don't want to introduce too many variables to figure out what went wrong if I have a bad shave.

Hard to vote cause both seem to be fairly easy to lather and both work really well. I vote for Arko though since its a stick and might be something different for you if you haven't used sticks before.

Thanks for the vote! I actually haven't used a stick yet, since you mentioned it. So far, I've only used Van Der Hagen, Williams, The Body Shop Maca Root Cream and Creamo.

The Williams was a B%^&h to get lathered up, but was okay. The VDH is what I use most of the time, as the glycerine content is so high it makes for a good shave for me and I like the scent. I really LOVE the way the Maca Root cream smells and the cushion from it, but I feel like I don't get that great of a glide from it. The Creamo was kinda "meh".

I use Arko most of the time, lathers well and it's cheap, odd smell, but now i like it.

Yeah, I totally get the whole "urinal cake" as well as the "just a really clean soap" scent. I like it so far, though.

By the way, we're at t-minus 15 minutes and counting... Get your vote in now!
