rebatching palmolive stick ends
I have some ends of Palmolive sticks that I was going to melt down and turn into a puck, I have looked into the process of melting the soap in a microwave after grating, I was wondering whether it would be worth mixing in some glycerin, and if so how much. I also have some maca root shave cream, should I/ is it worth mixing this in too? thanks for your input .
Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Hi Ed,
Ed, I have a feeling that it might be better to finely grate the Palmolive stick ends and compress them into a container, rather than melting them.
Woolworths have clear plastic screw top containers for under $2 which make ideal shave soap/cream containers. My collection includes about 20 varieties and they stack one above the other easily.

Thanked: 9I don't think Palmolive will melt in the microwave. Grating is usually the safest bet with tallow soaps.

They may go funny in the microwave, I'd au-bain-marie them.

My stick is almost down to the last bit, so I was wondering what to do as well.
To be honest, they are so small I'll probably end up grating my fingers, so I'd just use them as a hand/bath soap instead!

I just squash the little stub that's left into the middle of my tub of Cella.
