    Default Workout Scheduling

    Following an almost three-year layoff (I could blame it on Covid-19, but let's be real) I've returned (yet again) to indoor rowing on my Concept2 (model D). I've gotten older, and it's more difficult getting started... but (as JimmyHAD) used to say, "This ain't my first rodeo."

    So, here's the question: Week One I rowed M-F, w/S&S for R&R. I'm wondering if Week Two (and onward) it might not be better to row Su/M/T, rest on W, row Th-F, and rest on Sa.

    Two days-off in a row [no pun intended, but I'll take the win] is boring, and I wonder — given my staring-back status — if "5-on/2-off" might become a "five steps forward, two steps back" scenario (which I'd prefer to avoid).

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

    I commend you for commiting to a program, any program. I have yet to do as much after my health issues a few years ago. That set me back and I yet to really bounce back from it.

    After a 3 year layoff, slow and steady wins the race. Start off by committing to 3 days a week, M, W, F for a month and go from there. Consistency is the key.

    Update: Week Two is "in the books", and the 3/1+2/1 schedule is a winner. I began Week Three this morning... same schedule.

    i have a special program too.

    In the morning i mess about on the computer and do a bit of work. In the afternoon i watch TV.

    It gets intense after that because its dinner and a cup of tea then if i have any strength left its up to watch Ashamed on Netflix.

    I might even fit a shave in there somewhere.
