    Default HandAmerican and Chromium Paste

I have recently received my Handamerican bench hone and need some advise abut applying their Chromium Paste. Having put some on and throughly rubbed it all over I have a very thin layer, the leather can be seen clearly through it, one area is solid green and if it is too thick I will rub it out. What I would like to know is should it be a very thin layer or a solid green color?

I now have green hands and door knobs too ....

    Thanks

    Terry

    Latex gloves are your friend

On my strop, I can still see the leather through the green paste. Applying too much paste doesn't work as well as having just a little bit on there.

IŽll also go with the minimalist approach. It will require two applications with a day between them and a day between the second one and actually using the bench hone.
