Question Should I get a paddle strop?

I'm in the process of picking up the gear to use for a straight shave. I am going to pick up a shave ready razor from someone here, and have a Wapienca, Arkansas stone, and strop ordered from wojtec76 on the way (got the razor to learn honing, couldnt beat the price) . It is my sense that my most intelligent next buy is a paddle strop from Tony, probably with the 1 and .5 pastes. Am I completely off base, or is that a reasonable feeling?
(cant really justify a norton 4k/8k at this juncture)

Thats what I use. Works very well. I always hone on a Tilly's barber hone then 1.0 micron, 0.5 micron, then strop with my 3 incher.

Or you can just have it pasted with 0.5 micron chromium oxide. It maintains my edges without any issues. For honing, I'd either use the Norton or Japanese slips if I were you.
