The metal ends on that particular strop are not the heavier d-rings that I had envisioned. Do you think that it is possible to bend these ends by hand? If so, you might try bending the back side of the metal rings (where it goes through the leather), with your thumb, to make a slight bow on the front side (leather side) of the strop.

I guess I could bend them. I have the strop hanging on hook right now with a 15 lbs dumbbell at the bottom. I think this might help.

Try using the middle hinge on the door. Also stand and center yourself between the strop. See if standing and stropping helps eliminate the curling problem.

Ok. It's frustrating because the middle section of the strop isn't even being touched by my razor, just the two ends where the strop curls.
