    Happy B-Day, rhensley.

I keep my shaving gear in the office downstairs so I strop before going to bed and store the razor in the cabinet outside the bathroom overnight, retrieving it in the morning when I shower.

Similar to Leatherstockings - I keep the rotation in the off side of a partners desk in the home office.
Strop the night before and put the razor in a silicone sleeve.

I think your fine as long as you do strop. I would suggest at least taking a few licks after shaving just to make sure there is no water left on the bevel or edge.

I strop after I lather then 15-20 laps after I shave for the reason I give above.

Experiment as much as possible and do what feels good.

I strop after the shave, so as to dry the razor and repair the havoc wrought by my face. After drying out, it's dipped into an alcohol-oil concoction until the morrow (48-hr. cycle here).

I always strop the night before, partly to save time in the morning, but also because I enjoy stropping and it's become part of an enjoyable evening routine of getting everything ready for the morning. I like to pick out the razor, soap, and brush that I'll be using, then strop the razor, and once I'm done, I look forward to my morning shave.

As I don't have any honing stones at the moment, I try and keep the edges of my razors as sharp as possible. This involves stropping the night before, both cloth and leather, and then immediately after my shave the next morning, leather only.

Whether that's correct or not, I don't know. What I do know is that I haven't had to send two of my most used razors out for re-honing in well over 4/5 months.

I will run through 20 or 25 laps on leather right before I shave, it seems to help (or at least is a nice placebo)
After I shave I go over the linen side for another 20-25 to clean the edge. This works for me, but of course everyone and every razor is different

I shaved with a razor that I had hone a couple of days before shaving. I did not strop it before shaving. It shaved like a dream, but when I splashed on the after shave it felt like acid, and I thought I had gone blind for a moment. I shave with the same razor the next day after stropping it and the problem was solved. http://straightrazorpalace.com/image...s/banghead.gif
