When I pack it goes into a strop sock and I lay it in the bag on its side and run it around the inside of the bag, then I pack my clothes and shaving kit. I used to carry a synthetic brush too, but I love badger so that's what I carry now. Pill bottle with holes, I use every day so I,m not worried about the moisture I leave it on the counter in the bathroom, but seriously if you take it out when you unpack when I finally get home 2-3 months later, I don't see any damage yet, if you forgot it and left it in the bag for a long time I could see that as a mildew issue.
The more you travel you will see it's really no different than It Was before, I have a razor case that was sold around here for a while that , makes no sure to damage to them, a shave stick, my par accord bracelet to hang the strop, and those flexible twist ties they sell that are 12" long can be bent into a brush holder, now travel. I have all my shaving great when I take long bike rides to, it all fits in a normal shave kit, and the strop is packed the same way except for I seal it in plastic, ( you never know when it rains or if your bags are sealed).
