Hello gentlemen, I am a gen-u-wine newbie, but thanks to this site I am learning in spite of myself. I have been lurking around here for awhile and it certainly contains a wealth of information. The search engine has led me to answers to almost all my questions.

I just recently received a Tony Miller Heirloom Artisan Red Latigo. What a work of art. What a pleasure to hold such quality workmanship in one’s hand. He has been lauded all over this site and with justification. What I had not seen mention before was the smell. Oh my lord, this thing smells like leather. Yeah yeah, I know it is leather, but I was not prepared for such a pleasant aroma. It is truly a treat for all 5 senses. The sight is beautiful. The feel is wonderful. The sound of the razor being drawn across it is tremendous. And as I said the smell is heavenly. That leaves the taste. Yeah well, all I can say is that this thing looks good enough to eat.
