Default Lets see your stropping dens.

Now I've never liked or felt comfortable about stropping my razors in the bathroom, so I commandeered myself the small back bedroom where I carry out minor maintenance and edge duties, this is my little set up where I can easily put my hands on most bits and pieces without to much fuss, I have a pasted bench strop with velcro strips for easy removal on my work bench I also have my Kanayama and Tony miller attached to two stainless steel marine eyelets on the bench, the brush you see is a ladies makeup brush for cleaning off any dust from my bench strop before stropping, the unit is a very sturdy four cube unit I picked up from Ikea, and the storage boxes can also be sourced from Ikea.

Hi Magnus, whenever I have to unpin a razor before I file the head off the pin I always spray the pivot with WD40 as this tends to loosen up any sticky areas and usually makes popping the pin through much easier.

    Hi Guys,

Here are my 3 strops: A Kanayama #3, a 3" Tony Miller steer hide/linen and an Illinois 361, which has all the scars from my stropping apprenticeship...

You've got one of those too, eh?

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
