I've been toying with the idea of turning my TM horsehide/canvas strop into latigo/horsehide/canvas as I have heard others have done.

After looking at the hardware it appears it would be difficult to use the middle part of the strop unless you hung it on a towel bar or something so you could drape the unused top portion out of the way.

Can anyone who has done this advise me on how they use a tri-strop?
