I just bought a 3 inch felt / linen strop from SRD. Applied their diamond paste to the linen strop and used the SRD Chrom Oxide crayon on the felt strop. Just rubbed the crayon up and down the strop. Hopefully this was correct. Anyone apply the crayon to felt yet?
I applied my CrO to a Tony Miller paddle strop and it works wonderfully. Hadn't thought about using it on a felt strop. Others will have to chime in on this one... :jedi:

Actually, I would be afraid to get my hands dirty. There are enough toxic substances out there and I see no risk exposing myself to any more than necessary. Chrom Ox is a skin irritant at minimum. I don't see any need to risk exposure when it's so easy to avoid it. If you don't have rubber gloves, you can just stick you finger into a plastic bag and use that to spread it around.
