I have an SRP 3" Latigo and webbed fabric set-up, and I'm looking for something that will put an even finer edge on my blades.

I was under the impression that less draw = sharper/keener/more finished edge (not sure how to phrase it, but hopefully you get what I mean). But recently someone who should know said the reverse was true.

So, should I be looking for something with heavier, or lighter, draw than the Latigo? Or are the finishing properties of leather independent of the draw character? Or is this one of those things where opinions differ?
