Sure Matt...that'll be great. Is this the powder form or liquid? I have the balsa strop, so no need for that (yet), but I am thinking about CrOx-ing a leather strop.

Its Powdered, its good stuff IMO
BladeRunner001,
I have good success by just rubbing the CrOx powder (about 0.05 mL) onto the surface of the strop with a peice of waste cotton. After a good rub, just the right amount seems to become embedded, and you can then wipe off the excess with a peice of paper towel.
Have fun !
Best regards
Russ
No problemo amigo. Yep, you can use oil for leather & water for felt. I add 1 drop of detergent to water but you could even just dust it lightly on leather for a very subtle effect. It will get into the pores of the leather easily but also into your lungs. Be very careful with it & wear a dust mask at least.
Thanks Paul
Great idea Oz...I will definitely use mask for sure. I am ordering some from Kremer pigments. I like the specs of this stuff they have. pretty pure and consistent size. Now, I have to find a leather strop that I can put this onto :p
Unless things have changed, the crayon they sell at SRD is the same stuff that Maestro Livi uses for his loom strops. If Livi thinks it's good enough, it's good enough for me. YMMV.
More importantly, I've been using it for quite some time, and I've been consistently happy with the results. I have used handamerican (bought a dime-bag of it here from a user that bought a tub and sold it off) and I found the hand american harder to use, and not any more effective.
The SRD crayon looks pretty good, but the shipping to the EU is a bit steep :) Could someone give me a bit of his? Maybe 1/3-1/4 of it, that will last a long time for me, and I can decide wether I like it or not. Shipping in a letter is around 1$, but I will pay the shipping and the price of the crayon too.
