Default Red Imp strop. Holy crap.

I saw this Red Imp 700 strop go for $142.50

    What's so special about it?

"It comes from a non-smoking household" I guess that answers all questions. Were it a Green Imp, likely it would have gone for twice the price.

The blue and orange imps are not nearly as collectable though.

I saw that one. There was another about a month ago in better condition that went for about $35.
That one looks like it was made by Certifyd. I've got a Russian Shell by them and it is top of the line. I think I paid $20 for it.

I'm too in love with strops from Tony Miller. The price of this one strop is almost equal to the price of 3 strops i have coming from Tony.

As I understand it, the red imp strops are made from the tails of real red imps.

Actually the "red imp" is made of leather harvested from a undisclosed section of hide removed from kobe beef cows...

It was pampered and massaged daily while still living and listened to classical music while reading war and peace in russian written in french... It is known to have curative powers on par with the shroud of turin.... It can heal the sick...make the blind see again...

It is the holiest of shaving relics.....

    Let us pray....

Our lords who art in heaven... Wade and butcher be thy names...

Killing a thread from 2007 ? Seems to me it died of old age.
