    Default SRD roo strop with the premium fabric

    G'day gentlemen
    I just received my 3 inch roo strop and some chromox spray from straight razor designs in the mail this arvo to replace my 2 inch frank shaving strop (to which I applied the chromox to the canvas side) an I thought I'd share some initial thoughts and pictures.

    First off I was amazed at how thin the leather is compared to my other strop (there will be a picture demonstrating the thinness), the logo and hardware on this strop also just exude quality

    Now to the actual stropping;
    i started with my usual 20 laps on the canvas side, it has a nice audible "zip" while going up and down and I begin to realize how much easier and more enjoyable the extra width and length this strop provides. To finish I did about 50 laps on the leather again the extra width and length helped, I was able to do more of a "windshield wiper" type of motion rather than an x stroke (I did try the x strokes and was also more enjoyable with the longer strop), the draw was much lighter and the sound fairly raspy and I thoroughly enjoyed both of these characteristics.

    All up it is a great looking strop that seems to perform very well and the shave off this strop was great, I'm a happy little stropper

    (pictures to come)

    I'm a big fan of roo strops, and I also really love the extra draw you get. And also you cant go wrong with SRD kit, they are the proverbial mutts pyjamas haha!

    Enjoy!
