Pretty much looks good to go but a wipe on the leather with a damp, not wet, rag may be suprisingly beneficial & is a good way to remove any surface gunk

Thanked: 3215Remove the hardware and clean with WD40 to remove the green waxy verdigris.
If there is any verdigris on the leather under the buckle, spray a paper towel and wipe the leather to remove. Lightly scrape the leather with a square cut Popsicle stick or plastic putty knife if it is hard or sticky.
Linen can be washed but yours looks pretty good, you might mist a paper towel with water and or Simple green or similar cleaner and wipe the linen to remove any dust. Or Vacuum well with a shop vac.
If the leather is too slick or dry, put a couple drops of leather conditioner on a folded paper towel and rub it in, just a couple drops do one side only. You can add a couple drops more, later 3-4 days after it has soaked in if you want more draw. Little goes a long way.
Nice find, great price, enjoy.

Thanked: 4830Nice score. I see the price tag is still on it. I hope you get a discount, not that it wasn't a deal, just on general principle.

I've got three C-MON's I'd love to strop on that one. IF you ever want to sell it I'll give you double plus shipping to have it go with my C-MON razors and C-MON barbers hone.

Based, probably, on the time of manufacture, if the back of the leather is embossed than its Russian horse. Not generally tanned in Russia bu it's the name it goes by. Most of the better stops of that era were Russian leather. Based on my understanding of vintage strops.
