I never was much for trying pastes but Marty came by my shop 1 day and he brought some strops with Crox and CBN on them for everybody that was there. Thanks again !!! I had fished up this restore on an 8/8 Grieves and had it honed up for a test shave. I actually had 5 to test. After shaving morning AND evening to get them tested (which I won't ever do again :<0) I felt they were nice but not there yet. Something was missing or I was just sooo used to my Ducks I was unsure of the feel. Wolfpack had honed a W&B 9/8 for me a long time ago so I had a great benchmark to go by. I put them back on the bench for another round on the finishers but then I spot the gifts Marty gave me right there next to the Zulu so I gave them a whirl. Forgetting everything Marty had told me, I just gave the Greaves 25 laps on the Crox/canvas with a lite spray of water. Then a good wipe down. Then 25 more with the CBN and a spray on what looks like a this hard felt/cotton strop. Wiped down and used for a morning shave.
THAT DID IT ! I wasn't shocked or overly impressed but I am very glad I now have this in my arsenal of tricks.

So I was either testing this out late at night or I just didn't pay attention but as I took this pic I noticed 2 flavors of CBN. Not sure which I used but will be paying more attention in the future. It's nice to be able to tell what you doing with what
Cool little spray bottle Marty gave us also. If you other guys haven't tried yours out yet your missing something.

Big Thanks Marty, you added a little something to my bench that will be there from now on.
