I purchased my first kanoyama-kanayama-cordovan-60000-razor-60000 about two weeks ago and I must say I have been extremely impressed. Before I bought this strop, I did have two other strops I used on a regular basis. One was a mid-grade one that did ok and then I purchased another strop that was a little longer, very well put together, fantastic quality, and all around an extremely good strop that I very much enjoy using. Now that the kanoyama-kanayama-cordovan-60000-razor-60000 has arrived it is very apparent that it is a shame that this gentleman's art and skill at making these may die out with him. I hope those are just rumors I have heard and that may not end up being the case but I do know he is in his 90's but from what I have read and seen in the not so distance past seems to indicate he is in good health. The feel of stopping a razor on this strop is like no other strop I have ever used. I may not own that many myself but have tried out other friends and relatives strops before just to get a feel of how different they can be and this one I could pick out blindfolded by touch. I know they are not cheap but save up the money and treat your self to buying one because I assure you that you will not regret it. There are plenty of different products out there that are pricey and may not be worth it at times but this is one strop that is worth every penny INMO. I assure you they did not pay me to write this glowing review LOL (if that was the case I would not have had to save up for a while to afford one) I was just that impressed after using it for just the first week or so and wanted to pass that experience on to any other members or guest of the site that are debating on whether or not they want to take that risk by spending that much on a strop and will it really be worth it. It is only my opinion but I would say with hesitation that it is worth it. Happy shaving..................
