I like the Scrupleworks line a lot, and Torolf is a good guy to deal with. Traditional American barber's cut 2-1/2" x 24" is my favorite as to format, although 2"-wide works well for me as well. The oil-tanned Horween is a mid-range as to draw. Not a bad sensation and good in starting out IMO. In staying with the Scrupleworks line, I would suggest trying the vegetable-tanned horsehide as it has a slicker (faster, lighter) draw than the oil-tanned. The Swedish bridal has the most draw. I prefer a lighter draw in general.
