Guys I bit on an antique Loom style strop and I am anticipating wanted to have to restored, repaired, or replaced as to the leather. Who among the SRP group do you recommend? I know we have some amazing brush and razor artisans..... how about strops?
I have shot an email to Tony Miller for his advice as well.

DryGulch does nice leather work. My workhorse strop is one of his. There are other but he is the only one known to me.
That is an amazing looking look strop. It deserves a good restoration

I'd also throw in Sharpton, Tom has done some spectacular work restoring some of these wonderful antique items, and I've seen quite a few strops he's done as well, all spectacular.

Thanks guys. It came with a Brookes & Crookes straight in 925 Sterling scales with a London hallmark as well. Once it arrives I will consider whether to keep it as is or have it "restored" in a much finer finish. Leaning toward that and keeping it. Wondering if I will be killing the future value of it by doing so however. Would be cool to actually use it properly nonetheless. Foster & Bailey were only in business for 10 years as Silversmiths and their wares typically are valued in a moderate range.
