    Default SRD Modular Strop

I’m sure a lot of you own the SRD modular strop. I guess I was a little late to the sad closing of SRD and didn’t buy any replacement felt pads or the English bridle leather pads. How would you recommend making those yourself?

My suggestion is buy another paddle strop, when strops are custom made like these and the shop closes for whatever reasons your kinda SOL....

You might consider a loom strop like a Tensio as the leathers are just strips that clamp in and you could pretty much get any supplier of good leather to cut a piece the same size as the original or if you really like the paddle over a loom Rasurpur offers a similar design to the SRD modular

I did hear back from Don. They said it’s a proprietary product that will be transferred to whoever buys the company. Just keeping everyone posted.

I believe I have an extra felt pad and maybe a leather pad as well (don't know if it's the English Bridal I purchased it with several other items.) but if you're interested I can look and see what I have.

Rasurpur is closing at the end of this year. However they might have something to help.

I am in the same boat but with an SRD long English bridle hanging strop. Lynn used to sell replacement leathers for his strops at reasonable prices but alas, no more.
