    Default First Strop

For my first strop I purchased this:

Straight Razor Designs 3" Red Latigo Strop and Webbed Fabric -Matched Webbing.

It was moderately priced and I ordered the 3 inch so I could properly strop a razor w/o having to worry about the X technique. Now off to see if I can get this correctly and get a good shave.

I guess I'll do he fabric 20-30 and leather 40-50 and see what happens. Wish me luck!!!

Luck! Those are beautiful strops. Your stropping plan looks good to me! Enjoy.

Here is the 1961 barber manual excerpt on honing and stropping from the SRP Wiki help files. The last couple of pages are on stropping. If you give that a read before you get started and follow the instructions you'll be glad you did.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks, I downloaded the instructions and read them!

Excellent choice on your first strop. I have the Premium 3, I couldn't be happier, it's the only one I use. Lynn and Don sell excellent products.
