Thread: Stroping multi blade razors

While most of us love our straight razors, they are not what our wives use on a daily basis.

For Christmas I bought my wife a Schick Quattro Titanium on sale for $5 with 4 blades.
The strips above and below the blade don't fall apart after the razor has been used for awhile.
She started using it on Jan 1 and is still using the same blade and says it still shaves fine. So far that is 3 months.

The trick to getting this kind of life out of that blade is that I made a strop out of blue jean material and strop it 40 light passes every other day on that strop.
Looking at the edge under a 30x loupe when new, and keeping a check on it every week. I have been pretty amazed at how the edge looks better now than when it was new.

So you may want to pass this on to friends and family to help them save some money on these high priced blades.
