Thread: Any Good?

Ok, I need a little advice.
I've got a Black Beauty strop (first strop I got) and always had trouble getting a keen edge with it as it doesn't have any draw at all, smoth as silk.
bad strop to start with as it encouraged me to speed up rather than concentrate on my technique.
So I got a Kangaroo hide strop from MickR and after using a couple of times cannot say enough good stuff about it (if you read this thank you again mate)! nice draw, good feedback, looks great and smells nice too HAHA, little weird but I'm sure everyone smelled the first few strops they got so I feel justified
now the only thing is does anyone have any experience with these strops? I have been thinking about using it as a pasted strop, maybe some ChroOx for the ridged side and have read a thread about using graphite as a strop dressing and was thinking about graphite on the smooth side, now I know this seems counter intuitive but thats why I'm asking.
