    Default ti bio paste

has any one got and using the new bio paste from ti? if so how have you found it and how are you using it/ how are the shaves/

i have the bio paste plus paddle , never realy gave it much use as i have been trying not to use paste . getting the max from hones. i may give it a whirl and see how it goes. its pritty fast cutting so less is better . so any one got lots of experiance i'd love to hear how your getting on with the system and how you are using the bio paste ., after honing and for touching up?

    Gary,

IIRC one of the SRP members posted a comprehensive post about the TI bio-pastes; I am not sure if the post contained any reference as to how they performed compared with other abrasive pastes.

Mr Dempster (www.theinvisibleedge.co.uk) has said that they work very nicely on stainless blades like the Dovo EnVogue.

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ

cheers russ. i used it last night on a perfectly fine coticule edge. i did as recomended, i did 5 laps on 6m,3m,1.0,0.25,and finished on balsa crox hone with just 5 laps. they recomend 20 laps on each i tryed this and the edge was bloody harsh. with 5 laps it was a differant story. It was bloody sharp but still comfortable. so less is better . and i started at 6m which is agressive but no harm done they recomend after honing even from a fine hone to start out at 6m it does work or did this time . seems like not many guys have this new stuff as it is expensive . i reckon the pastes will last for years . i brought mine from mr dempster . it is much nicer than the older dp .
