    Default Which Strop to purchase?

I am kind of new to this. Yet, I am pretty sure I have learned the stropping tecnique and have it down. I am looking for a good strop and want to know what kind would be recommended as a good quality strop with clothe on the back. One that will do the job and not damage my blades.
I don't mind a used strop, just looking for whats best. Any advice or experience...I have read on here with the reviews....just want some more personal experience for advise. Thanks

I also have the Premium IV, it's great. Thinking of also getting a Premium I, as so many people seem to like it.

As far as the job it does there is no difference among critters or finishes as long as it's a quality strop. The different types just have a different feel. You might prefer one over the other but you won't know that until you use them.

I understand and could recommend the Jemico Prima Rindleder strop. There was a thread a while back and some experienced guys thought they were the same product as Dovo. They are the best for new shavers, and I recommend them. You should have many choices on Ebay, But the last one I bought had free shipping and was 45 bucks or so for the long one. A shorter one will do the trick as well for less.. All you must do is rub your palm on the leather for a while and strop. Good leather! Good luck!

In that price range I'd say Illinois is your best bet. They are an old reputable brand, despite the low price though that only seems to make them more appealing.
