A decent sized strop?

Since picking up the straightie I've had a couple of strops - both el cheapos I bought off ebay. They work okay but the problem with them all was that they were too short and too narrow!

I got it in my head that this was due to the fact that I was buying cheapies, so i ducked into the shaver shop briefly to look at their $100 dovo strop... and it was the same size!

Anyone know where I can find a decent sized strop or will I have to buy one?

Since your in Oz.. PM Legion I know he us to make some nice Roo Strops. So did MickR but I am not sure if he still is or if work has gotten in the way of it still.

I echo shooter's recommendation: the strops from SRD are superb and you can't go wrong. See their special on the 3" wide version--$76 as of now.

i saw that one but I had my eye on a $90 something longer version that looked nice

I also picked up a "Big Daddy" from star shaving. Although it is my first strop I was very impressed with the quality and price.
