    Default My current strop

I have a red Latigo strop. I have put in a request for a new one for Christmas.

The is no cloth of any kind on my current strop. Is there anything I can use as a substitute until I get a new strop?

    Thanks!

Just because it's sharp, does not mean it's smooth.

I have read in some old threads about using seltbelt material for the linen part. I found some and it seems to work pretty good. I also went to a saddle shop and the guy gave me a piece of leather the size of a strop. All I have to do is get some hardware and put it together. I am guessing i will spend about $5.00 or so.

Nylon webbing(seatbelt), old denim, or any similar material. If you dont have anything laying about, check out the garage sales, thrift sores or bargain bins around town.
