I've got one of those (well, my first and only, actually). I quite like it. It's really well made, but it IS narrow. I've seen some larger (wider and longer) strops in The Shaver Shop that I like, but actually there's a benefit to a shorter strop. I have a really small bathroom, and a longer strop would mean I'd have to stand back further from where I attach it (via a carabiner) to the towel rail. Also, the handle end is easy to hold and I can pack it really easily for travel. I use the canvas side un pasted and do 30/70 canvas/leather before each shave. When I first saw the strop in the shop I thought "100 bucks for THAT!!!" but when I got it home I appreciated the quality.

Considering the exchange rate (i.e. working out what it cost me for mine and the cost of the razor and strop in pounds), I think you've done well.

BTW, it looks new, mine came in that tissue paper as well....

[EDIT] Don't you love the term 'won' on eBay? I know we 'win' the auctions, but at a subliminal level it makes it sound like we've just got a prize at the fair rather than we've just forked out our hard earned dosh...

Well yeah its great and I suppose it would be better to say secured but I out bid the other guy and was only pence away from my limit, I was intending getting an new Doco and provided its what I think it is (a Prima Silver Steel) the place I would buy it from is asking £79, since it is all wrapped and the vendor stated it was new never sed (I'm a trusting soul) I would have paid the same for just the razor.
    Regards

I'm just being silly...I do like eBay, but sometimes I (and my wife) wish I didn't :-)

My wife loves eBay too, 'cause she buys SHOES.
It's a pain when I go to the Post Office to collect a parcel, thinking that it is the razors that I've been waiting weeks for, only to find out that it's addressed to her......bummer
Hang on and enjoy the ride...

Has anyone discovered why they don't make a 2.5" strop with linen?
