    Default Condtioning pasted strops

I have a couple of paddle strops that have seen a bit of use now and they seen to be getting a rough feel when used now. Im thinking they could use a bit of neets foot but as they are pasted was unsure. Any info appreciated. Ed

If they are getting rough you probably put too much paste on or put it on unevenly. I would just uses some quality leather cleaner (I'm assuming they are leather) like Bick or lexol and clean them and get as much paste off as possible. Then condition the strops and reapply some paste sparingly. On the other hand you might just need to apply some neatsfoot like you say and that might bring them back to life. Possible the paste has dried out. Go the easier route first and see what happens.

They are different pastes / sprays on 3 paddles and all seem affected. Made sure to put on even and take excess off and it seems to be only the main use areas affected. Just want sure if rubbing on neats foot would cause paste or sprays to come off etc. Thanks for your help
