ordered the modular strop from srd
Well I am happy to say that the Lynn modular strop well be arriving on my doorstep within the next several days..
Really looking forward to using it as I can honestly say I really don't like a hanging strop (technically my hanging strop)..anyway I do have a quick question about it.
It comes with two hard wool felt pads. I know I will be using one for the diamond spray..but the other one...Will that be a good candidate for non spray chromium oxide? Anyone use it on that material?
I had some here and just could not see buying another bottle if I already had some..thoughts on it..
Thanks in advance.

I purchased some of the stick green buffing compound from Home Depot, sold by the buffing wheels and bench grinders... then shaved a small amount off with a knife, and microwaved it for 30 seconds, warning this stuff gets HOT, don't touch it, you WILL blister. it turns to mush and you can use a rag to rub it in leather or like me a balsa strip from hobby lobby glued to a painter stick. total cost was a few bucks..
Disclaimer: some say it is not as good as the expensive stuff sold for stropping,
As far as functioning like it should it works great in my opinion.

Have two felt pads. One with each spray. Couldn't see using a paste on them.
