What should I do?
Is my strop ruined? I have continued to use it in this condition and i haven't noticed a huge difference however it does make me nervous.
I cant really explain what happened other than; it must have been a microscopic change in my stropping technique. I think i started shifting my hand backwards RIGHT BEFORE rolling the razor on it's spine.
Any and all help would be great!!

Thanked: 375I did this to my first strop, nail clipper and pumice stone cleaned it up, I'd put some neats foot on it too, after sanding (not sure of others opinions on that). Do a search for stroptober (SRP), I have some pics up on the repair (I think I was the only one for a repair) and there's lots of stropping vids.

adamkavanagh,
My first strop was nick-named 'ScarFace'
600 grit silicon carbide paper will smooth down the cuts nicely.
Have fun !
Best regards

Yes, that is a microscopic change alright.
