Default TI Paddle Strop replacement leather

    Hello,

I have a Thiers Issard dual side paddle strop. It currently has a suede material on it which I am not were happy with. It is the larger of their 2 paddle strops with the leather pieces being 3 inches wide and 10 inches long. Does anyone know of a company or online retailer that sells what I am assuming would be a custom cut of leather? At this point Im not even going to be picky as to what type of leather because anything would be better than the suede currently on it!

    thanks!

I just swapped some material that came with the TI strop. Like Castel said, try Tandy leather. If you have one locally they might have a 'remnants' bin with various types of leather. I actually like the suede as it holds sprays nice. However, they do not get along well with pastes.

I took a look on Tandy Leathers website (as I don't have one close) and am not sure what leather to buy. The only thing I could match up type wise that is used in strops is the red latigo, but all the leathers are use specific (garmets, upholstery etc.).
