Which side?

Another dumb question. Which side of the fabric strop? If I lay my strop on a table with the top leather side up, and the fabric strop underneath, I would use the top of the leather strop, but do you flip the leather strop out of the way when using the side facing up at you(when it's laying flat on table) of the fabric strop, or do you just spin the whole strop around and use the back side of the fabric when you use the fabric strop. I hope this isn't to confusing.

The correct answer is there is no correct answer use what ever side is easiest for you. Some use both sides of fabric they will put a paste or spray on the inside surface (the one facing the back of leather) and they will use the outer surface untreated. Are you confused now?

Brother, I was born confused, and it's only gotten worse with age. But thanks for straightening that out for me.

I just flip the whole strop and let the leather side hang as I'm using the fabric side. It's more convenient that way because you don't have to hold the leather strop or let it bend when using the fabric. This is all personal preference of course but that's the reason I flip it over. Hope that helps!
