Default Heirloom Razor Strop Co. & The Well Shaved Gentleman

Just a heads up that I have some new products as well as some old favorites back in production again as well as a President's Day sale going on.

For the sale, all of my Artisan level strops are discounted by $10 for the next week as well as my 4 side paddle strop.

Some old favorites that are back again are my 4 side paddles and my bench strops.

I have a new leather right now, a super fast Cordovan like steerhide shoulder with a really super light and fast draw. I have gotten favorable feedback from a tester on a sample I sent out and have them available now on my new 2019 website.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up. I've been checking out your site and thinking of investing in a good strop. My big issue is I don't have a frame of reference for the the different draw types.

I have tried pretty much all that Tony Miller offers and the latest is his Steer dovan and it’s very close in draw and feedback to a more expensive Córdovan

My Premium Steerhide will have a fairly medium draw. Each hide can vary a little but for the most part it is a medium to light/medium. The newest Steer-dovan has a very fast, almost glassy draw. Very light. I may have a bit more of my Fast bridle coming and that has a light to medium draw, again depending on the hides. I am thinking the next batch will be closer to a medium based on how the full shoulders feel to me before cutting.

My DIY bridle strop seems to have very little draw, so a medium draw may be more to my liking. Thanks for the info.

Got in a really nice shipment of Horsehide direct from Horween this time so these are what they consider First Run Quality (bear in mind horsehide will have a few more natural range marks than my European sourced Steerhide but nothing that will have a negative effect on use).

It is a deep brown color with a light to medium, silky draw and at 5oz. weight is soft and supple to conform to any shaped razor's edge. Not quite a thin as Kangaroo but less than my Steerhide it. I matched it up with some slick black bridle caps and handles for a nice contrast.

Will have a small release early next week with more to come in a week or two with the next shipment.

Beautiful strops! I inherited a strop made by you, Mr. Miller, and despite the odd nick and a few scratches it remains my go-to and is something I hope to pass on some day.
